Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi, It's me Quincy, I want to tell you about my fun day and how I made my mom and dad proud. Today we went to a Pet Expo, it was a fundraiser for our local shelters that help the animals. Yipeee! Dogs were allowed inside. There are not many places in our town that allow pets inside. First we watched the agility demo outside and I thought that looked like a lot of fun to try but the lady said they have a really long waiting list. It started to rain a little and my mom said she didn't want me to get wet because I'm like a shamwow and take forever to dry. What's a shamwow? Inside there were lots of dogs and people. I got lots of rubs and hugs. I even got a few treats

when my mom wasn't looking. Hope I don't get sick. I was such a good doodle and everybody loved me. They were very impressed with how calm and gentle I was, the little kids liked to rub my fur because it is really soft. I met a lot of different dogs some were really tiny and some were gigantic and I was nice to all of them. My mom signed me up to do the testing to become a therapy dog and the lady said I would be a shoo in. I also signed up to do a Walk-a-Thon for Heavenly Creatures which is our no kill shelter and they really need some money. Mom is going to ask all her friends to sponsor us. After we left the Pet Expo we went to our local park to walk and play ball. I ran and ran until my tongue was dragging the ground. I love playing ball, it's my favorite. We also tried to feed the ducks but these big fish kept stealing the food. When we got home I had supper and my mom gave me some real chicken as a special treat because I had been such a good boy. The only thing I did a little bad today was try and sniff a little girls hotdog but I couldn't help it, it was right next to my nose and my nose has a mind of it's own. I'm tired now so I think I'll take a nap. Bye for now. Quincy. This is a picture of my dad trying to feed the ducks, I was more interested in what mom was doing.

Quincy... sounds like you had a great day! I went to a similar event last weekend. I love the photo of you and your dad on the bridge. It looks so pretty and you look a doodle model! Glad you had a great time... My mom tells me that she wants me to be a Therapy dog too.... I can't wait to hear about your experiences. Mom thinks I am too young right now, but we are in classes and working on my skills and manners :o)
