Lilly 5 months. Raining

Today our Miss Lilly is 5 months old. I bought her a fancy rain coat a few months ago and waited for the rain. It came today. I was so excited that we were going to be in our matching raincoats walking down Main St.  I took the coat out of the package and then showed it to Lilly who mistook it for a new yellow toy. I explained to her that it was her brand new raincoat and we were going to go on a WALK. I am an idiot. she does not know many words, but W>A>L>K is one that she knows and loves.

 My sweet little girl became a broncing bronco as I tried to get that thing on her. It ws so cute in the photo with the dog just standing there looking beautiful. I wonder what kind of drugs they used. I blame it on me. I should have started putting her in clothes when we first brought her home, but living in the country I didn't want the other dogs to laugh at her.

I put on my raincoat and headed out the door with Lilly behind me. She lasted long enough for a 30 second photo op. I took the thing off and we continued on our walk. She was having the time of her life and I was thinking well there's some more of Papa Scott's money down the drain.

I'm pretty sure Sedona would have exactly the same reaction if we tried to put a raincoat on her - and I doubt we'd even get the 30 seconds for a photo op!  The look on Lilly's face is PRICELESS!!!!

We haven't seen rain in Texas for so long that I've forgotten what it looks like! Would love to need raincoats here! By the way, I think the raincoat was a great idea -- so sorry that Lilly didnt!,

Seriously, I am LMBO!  Yup...that is what it takes...I started Rua off day 2 with clothes.  She looks adorable!

Too funny-but do not feel too bad! I bought a blue and a red Martha Stewart raincoat one for each dood.

They hate them. Myla needs one because her hair is a mess when it gets wet. Glad I bought them on clearance, I will keep trying...they will not win!!!
