Some of you may not know that we are restoring an 1870 house in Brownville, NE. population 120. located 70 miles south of Lincoln. When I told my daughter that we bought a fixer upper in Nebraska, she asked if we had started smoking crack. I told her that if we had, I would be much thinner. We hired a local guy as a contractor to restore it last year. Scott finally had enough and fired him the end of September. We are at the dry wall, paint, floor and move in is scheduled for December. We tore down the old plaster and put up the insulation. It was not fun.
We have been in this rental 1 year longer than we thought we would. I thought ya'll would like to see what our sun porch looks like in the rental. it is a delight to Lilly to get to explore in and around boxes. I started throwing boxes on the porch when I get one so I will have them come time to move. there are packed boxes and empty boxes with packing paper in them. Today I needed a vacuum bag so I could vacuum since the one in there is so full, it would not suck one other piece of up paper that Lilly chews up and spits out faster than the pounds go on my butt from a sonic burger.
here is a photo of our cottage (I wanted it because it is 1 house a way from a winery) and a photo of Lilly looking for something fun to get into. Our main house is in Florida and one day i hope to go visit it:)

Great looking place Mimi! Lilly looks like a little bug around all those boxes.
