Lilly 5 months. Raining

Today our Miss Lilly is 5 months old. I bought her a fancy rain coat a few months ago and waited for the rain. It came today. I was so excited that we were going to be in our matching raincoats walking down Main St.  I took the coat out of the package and then showed it to Lilly who mistook it for a new yellow toy. I explained to her that it was her brand new raincoat and we were going to go on a WALK. I am an idiot. she does not know many words, but W>A>L>K is one that she knows and loves.

 My sweet little girl became a broncing bronco as I tried to get that thing on her. It ws so cute in the photo with the dog just standing there looking beautiful. I wonder what kind of drugs they used. I blame it on me. I should have started putting her in clothes when we first brought her home, but living in the country I didn't want the other dogs to laugh at her.

I put on my raincoat and headed out the door with Lilly behind me. She lasted long enough for a 30 second photo op. I took the thing off and we continued on our walk. She was having the time of her life and I was thinking well there's some more of Papa Scott's money down the drain.

Hmmm- it looks like there were places for her front legs?? Maybe she will give it another try on the next rain. Still a chance for that  mother daughter stroll in matching rainwear! Zach LOVES the rain. He would hate a rain coat - it would deprive him of all the fun that being rained on brings - at least for him.
