So poor Lola is home safe. She actually got back several hours ago (was only at the vet's for a couple of hours), but I unfortunately had to work out of town until early afternoon. Hubby was home to get her though....and it's been a rough day since. Lola refused to sleep even though she was really groggy and unbalanced and clumsy (ran into a couple of walls!!!)...so she insisted on pacing around the house whining all day. I cuddled her (and whispered sweet nothings lol), and tried taking her out to pee...nothing!!! Finally about an hour ago, she had a poop (which made me tear up, I was SO happy) and she hoovered her breakfast (along with some broccoli!!!) which again made me tear up. She's still pacinig around whining a little, but she's much better...she doesn't have that dezed look in her eye! Hubby took a video when he got back with her, but has it with him so I'll have to upload it later.

Thanks everyone for your support and well-wishes, it really made us feel a lot better about this whole day. I couldn't have gone though it without crying my eyes out without you all! Hugs!

she had a TON of ear wax that we've been working on getting out for about a month. Nothing worked, so that's what the flush was for, to get all that wax out. We got a piece out before her flush, and it was about three quarters the size of a penny. I thought that would have done the job, but when we looked in her ear, it looked the same, so there must have been  TON in there. Anyway, the vet said he got about 95% out, and we go on for a re-check next Tues.

What things were flushed out? Was it just to cleanse the ear or actually to flush particles out. It was yeast caused, so did that make what was in the ear different from when it is just an ear infection. I am just curious why they suggested the flushing and what they accomplished with it. I am clueless.

thanks everyone!!!! She's almost back to her "superdoodle" self.....we play a game where we throw a ball down the hall from our bed , and she runs, gets it, and SPRINTS back to the bed, incorporating what we could only describe as a "superdoodle" move!!

So happy things are getting better for Lola and your family. It's hard when they are sick and have to go throught stuff like that! She'll be back to herself in no time!
