Oh where, oh where has my fluffy dog gone?

So, yesterday on his walk, Ollie decided that a dead animal on the road would be fun to roll into. Had to take him in for a bath at the local self service dog wash. Everything changes at bath time. My spunky, happy little doodle boy disappears and is replaced by a whimpering, simpering, long-suffering dog who acts like he is on his way to a torture chamber. He also looks completely different. he looks black instead of brown and skinny :-) Here is the proof...

Luckily his attitude comes right back with a big case of the zoomies after bath time is done.

haha, too funny. Lola just freezes during bath time. It's convenient for me, but I do feel bad for her. Lola gets some major zoomies after bath-time as well!

Doesn't water change them?

I could never understand why a dog who will spend all day swimming in a lake acts like it is being killed if it gets a bath?? This makes no sense to me!! Thank goodness for zoomies they seem to make all thing better! :)

Oh those self service wash places look great.  Unfortunately we don't have them here.  The first time I washed our very first Maltese Terrier, Jessica who was four years old at the time started crying hysterically "Mummy Rosie's shrinking!!!"  They do look half the size when wet.  Ollie looks gorgeous in the after picture.

I wish we had self-service dog washes in my neighborhood.  I have to admit that I had never heard about them until I joined DK.  They seem fabulous and so practical.

Too cute!  I love the fact that you can take your dog to a self-service dog wash.  Everything you need is right there, and you can bring your own shampoo/conditioner or other supplies if you choose.

You'd never guess Ollie was the same dog, from these two photos.  :)

If there is something smelly and gross, we can always count on our doodles to eat/inspect/roll in it can't we? LOL

Pam, those places are great. You only need your wallet. They give you a token and towels. You put in the token and choose the shampoo. It sprays sudsy water out of a hose and when you're done you choose a warm water rinse and then there is a blow dryer for use after towel drying them. It is a great set up. I have stopped bathing him at home unless absolutely necessary

Pam, Our dog wash supplies towels and shampoo. They are all different.

Smita, Love your blog and Ollie looks adorable. Too cute!!
