Oliver is home!

Finally after waiting for months and months, our little Ollie is home. We are ecstatic. He is the most affectionate little fella. Lots of kisses and great eye contact. He has the most gorgeous chocolate coat with gray green eyes. The breeder lives a good hour away so I was wondering how he would do on the ride home. After a couple of little whines and a lot of sniffing at my face and the car cup holder, he settled down and had a nice long snooze. Occasionally he would wake up and stand on my lap to look out from the window. As soon as we came home we walked him on his leash to the backyard and he did his job. He has had lots of naps and a bit of play. We even worked on his sit and he did really well. He was not convinced that the crate is for sleeping and prefers a blanket that is on the floor. We'll keep tempting him in there with treats and see how it goes. This is our first dog and I'll be posting a lot of questions and photos. For now, all is calm, all is quiet..

Thank you all for the warm welcome to Ollie. He is already responding to his name. The breeder had named him Valiant and I liked that name but we had decided on Oliver so we are sticking to that. I will post his photos soon.
