Puppy picking today and update of pup in Italy

Just a short entry to say that all the puppies' new owners came today to choose their favorite puppy--it all went beautifully so far and each pup will have a great home that suits them to a T. It is an exhausting process since each family came an hour or so apart--and a few more tomorrow and then we are in the home stretch...momma dog leaves tomorrow and she will be joined by her daughter Hazel, a chocolate female who is staying in the breeding program and was in the last blog entry. Momma dog's owners will be her guardian owners too--so that is just great. So far, the new pups are named Rosie, Rosie and Cooper (not a typo--two Rosies! AND we had a Rosie in the last litter too!)

The puppies were all so friendly and comfortable with the strangers today--they are really great little pups. I will miss them --sniff!

One big thing happened today--my breeding bitch Lyric came into heat two months early and I think it was due to all this puppy activity--she wants those puppies badly! We are going to skip this heat--she just had 8 pups in late September and she and I need a break--

If you have been following the blog entries, you might remember that one of the pups from Lyric's last litter went to Italy to be part of a program of therapy for autistic kids--he is now called DJ and is having a wonderful life--here are a few pics of him on the beach--what a gorgeous doodle!! I am so proud of him! Since many people in Italy have never seen a labradoodle, he is representing his breed back in the US very well.

Ginny, you do such a great job with the puppies you raise.  I am so impressed and love seeing the pics and reading your updates.  DJ is to die for!!  Life in Italy is agreeing with him!
