Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We are starting to get cold feet! Ella is such a perfect puppy - are we asking for trouble? We have twin boys (now 29), one is very quiet and was always obedient, the other was an exhausting child. The breeder says that Henry has no issues. It was hard not to compare the boys as they were growing up as they are so different. You love all your children but sometimes don't like them!! Zachary, despite being hyper, is much more sensitive and loving. Marshall , the quiet one, is so considerate and rational. I guess I am telling myself that Henry will not be like Ella and we cannot expect him to be. He has had different experiences the past six weeks and we (mainly I) will have to be patient and not expect too much at first.

Doubts are healthy, as long as they don't prevent you from adventure. :-) My guess is there may be an early "learning curve," but once they get used to each other it will all be cool. Just think of all the stories you're going to have to share here with us!

I was very nervous about adding a second doodle....and my doodles are very different....Shiloh is a spaz but not much of a chewer or destroyer....Fenway is calmer than Shiloh....but sneaky....he likes to chew and destroy...but so so so cuddly that it is hard to stay upset with him. And one thing I know for sure, two is better than one so they have each other for company....our boys love each other and it is hard to remember Shiloh without Fenway and it hasn't even been two months yet! You will do great....and Henry & Ella will be so happy together!

What's wrong with pushing your luck every now and then? It can lead to excitement and unexpected but pleasant, results. Henry will be in capable hands, and yes, you'll be busy, but could you imagine doing anything else? I see in your future 2 happy, well trained dogs and a very proud owner. So push aside those doubts and get ready for the excitement for nothing good ever came easy.
