Judy attended a two day SUPER PET ADOPTION rescue event in Rancho Mirage (near Palm Springs, CA). There were a total of seven Maltese and Maltese mixes from our Maltese Rescue, three from our house and four from other fosters. Judy came home tonight. She had run out of dogs... Six of the seven dogs were adopted (and the seventh has two people coming to see him tomorrow).
We had extra people there to help with filling out applications and to make home inspections. It was quite a process.
The Devore, CA animal shelter brought twenty dogs and they were adopted within the first couple of hours. Lots of dogs will be having a great night in their new homes.
It looks like we will have just one dog left but, they will start coming in again. We have one new dog due in tomorrow and several more coming.
We will be attending a big San Diego area rescue event in a week or so at the Sports Arena Petco in a week or two. This time I can attend. I was dog sitting the Crowe dogs and two rescues that were left at home with me (one of which met her new family today). Anyway that should be a good event also.
I could handle a rescue doodle or two at this event. I will contact DRCinc.

I never tire of hearing about your wonderful work : )
I agree with Karen's comment. You two are the best!
You and Judy continue to be an inspiration to all of us, Richard. Thank you for all you do to care for and help abandoned dogs find loving homes.
You and Judy are my heros!
Inspiring news and a great way to kick off Thanksgiving. I so admire the work you and Judy do. Blessings to you and Judy (and the other foster families) from our family, all the rescues you've helped in the past and those you will help in the future.
Awesome, Richard. Ned and I met Clancy at a rescue event, but no one adopted him there or in the week after it. I am so glad that your event had so many dogs adopted in one day. How rewarding for everyone.
