Rosco, Thule, and Cass Have a House Guest

We're dog sitting my good friend's Moodle (Mutt + Poodle), named Amaya:

She looks very much like a full standard poodle...or at least an F1b. We know the mom was NOT a poodle and possibly was an F1 labradoodle, but she was found with a litter and ended up with a local rescue (who has no knowledge of her background). We assume the father was a poodle.

She started off sooo tiny:

But is now a few hairs TALLER than Rosco and about half his weight. She has THE longest legs and runs like she doesn't quite know what to do with them...almost like she'd like to swim through the air..LOL

I LOVE Amaya! She's my favorite dog that's not mine =) A total whirling dervish that is a gem in the crate. Ever since she was brought home at 12 weeks...she's been perfect in the crate. No whining or barking or anything! She could be going 100 mph and as soon as she's in a crate, she settles as if it's her favorite place in the whole world.

She can easily fool you into thinking she'll mosey on slowly out from behind those bars...stretching...and then pondering whether she really wants to leave.... But the only way to get her out of the house without a piddle of joy (hers, not yours ;-)) is to open the back door, rush YOUR dogs outside, and then at lightening fast speed unlock the crate and RUN out the door yourself...she'll probably beat you and twirl around you so fast that it's not until you come back in that you see the yellow on the kitchen floor. LOL...but gosh she is a sweetheart! Super happy, super loving, and hilarious!

Rosco says: "Blah Blah Blah...Amaya...Bamaya...biiiig deal"

Don't forget about MEEEE Mommy! I'm your favorite son!

Amaya is definitely a doodle of some kind. She is darling and with such long, long legs. Maybe - Irish Wolfhound or Great Dane + ..oodle?

Very cute pictures! She is a big pretty girl! Love Thule's expression.

Notice Thule is rarely facing the camera...she's NOT a camera fan and I have far fewer photos of her because of it. But Rosco and Amaya don't mind posing at all. I just have to ask Rosco a good question and he's happy to oblige!

I can't get over how much they like the camera.

Denise: Yes Rosco is not half as energetic as she is. This morning for instance I sent him and Amaya out for potty and of course she dances and twirls instead. He, disheveled morning hair, sleepily doing his business and then slowly walking back and she bouncing and bumping into him "let's play, buddy! Let's play." The sleepy, confused look on his face was hilarious.

Karen: The lightening speed piddle run, not so bad. But her first day here I gave her a bath (she was stinky--not like her usual lavender scented self--and had a tiny piece of dried poop on her head [which I later found out was from finding her visiting grandma's diaper! eeek]). Anyway, with my slightly wet flip flops I started out the door with her for a coat-drying walk and she nearly pulled me down the porch steps with her twirling and pulling on leash! I forgot not all dogs are polite on leash! THAT was scary!

Barb: 4 dogs in the house doesn't feel too bad. Mine are all pretty mellow and so it doesn't add too much chaos. BUT Clark keeps repeating "4 dogs is too many" LOL. I have to agree...I wouldn't want FOUR permanently as we'd never be able to travel anywhere...but in the house a temp 4th is kinda fun and makes life loook SOOOO easy with 3 =)

Amaya looks like she fits right in at your house! She's gorgeous. Love the name - that is my "grand-dog's" name too!

Amaya is adorable! So much fun, oodles of doodles at your house! (PS Should you be running the piddle race at lightening fast speed? Take it easy, Missy!)
