Sheila and I got home late Thurs. night from Maine. She was such a trooper and what a little doll. We had a twelve hour trip home, and I got Sheila out of her carrier whenever possible. I know you won't believe this, NO ACCIDENTS on the way home (now that we're HOME I can't make that brag-oy)! Maine was gorgeous, warmer than the Midwest. Patty Barnes' operation is something else!! I'll post a couple of pics on my page. The guest quarters was awesome, really like a Maine cabin with kitchen, bath, living room. Sheila and I lived there for two days, while I viewed Patty's dogs, her trainer Sue and her darling little town of Dover-Foxcroft. Her females were in heat that week, wow breeding is quite an experience. What a smart, savvy, and nice breeder Patty is. Sheila is tiny, only 4 1/2 pounds. Didn't make a sound in her carrier, but quite a pistol when out of her crate.
Sheila is NOT totally potty trained, but she sleeps through the night, knows sit, down and stand (with treats). She knows the "potty"word and runs for the door and goes right away (at least #1) reliably. But she doesn't "tell" me yet when she needs to go, so I'll have my hands full for awhile. She gets the zoomies just like your dogs!!! Yeah, she is a true doodle.
I love her so much already. I gave a deposit for another dog from Logcabin, from Chutney, who will be born in March. This time a different color and a tad bigger. I decided after one day in the cabin I can't be Sheila's only playmate!!!!
Thanks so much for the well wishes. Sorry I just couldn't get a second yesterday to get on the net. I barely got a shower!!!!!
I'm so glad to be a real member of the doodle club. Finally, aahhhhhh, now I can enjoy with you all!!
P.S. Nec pics soon.
