Shelby's Week...

Hi Doods.... Shelby here!

It's been a few days since I blogged because I have been watching out for my mom. She has hurt her shoulder and even typing has been difficult. She's holds the leash in her other hand now and yelps out in pain when she moves wrong. She has been to the doctor and told me today she had a test where she had to lay still in a big tube (MRI). While she did this test - I got the taste of freedom again - she let me stay out of my crate and hid treats in the house :o)

After mom had her test she took me to this thing called a dog park. I had never been to one before and she said this was a "test" to see how I would do. It was a big area with fence and lots of grass so I could run and run and run. My friend Macy and her mom Cynthia met us there. It was so much fun - we played and ran.... we got muddy too! My mom tried calling me back a few times and I went to her... but not quite all the way - I stopped about 5-10 feet from her. She didn't like that too much, but there was so much to do.... and Macy had ran off in the other direction, so I had to go chase her. It was just the two of us.... and we had lots of fun. Mom said next time there will be more dogs - how cool is that!

When we left the park - I got hosed down with water - which I loved... it is HOT in Texas. It's Friday and my mom has been home all day - not sure why, but I love it! Mom also told me I am getting my summer hair cut on Monday... not sure what this means.... I like my hair the way it is. If you have a summer cut - will you post a picture so I can see what you look like?

Sounds like a fun week! I hope your mom is feeling better soon so that you can go back to the dog park and play together. Maybe your mom can throw a ball for you when her shoulder is better.

Hi Shelby!! I hope your mom is feeling better really soon. I am sure you are taking good care of her. I am also sure that you will look beautiful after your haircut on Monday and will feel cool for the summer heat that's coming your way. My mom is going to trim me up on Sunday. You'll have to post a picture of yourself on here so we can see your new haircut. Have a great weekend, can't wait to read your next story..

Hi Shelby it's me Quincy, well we finally had a warm day today and my mom let me go in the stream to cool off. I got my feet and belly wet and it sure felt good. I have to go for a haircut next week too, my mom is really nervous because it is a new groomer we haven't used before. I don't know what she is worried about it is only hair and it is sure to grow back. I think she just really likes my shaggy look but it is a bit warm for the summer.The cut my mom wants for me is the same one I had at christmas, it was a litlle short for then but will be perfect for now. I am going to bring a picture with me so they will know exactly what my mom wants.
I don't stay home alone very often because when my mom is working I go to work with Dad. When I do stay home alone I don't get into anything. My mom thinks this is a little weird because when she and Dad are home I get into everything. She may think it's weird but she really likes that I don't get into things when she is gone. Glad you had a good time with your friend today even if it was hot. We don't really get hot weather where we live.
This is a picture of the new haircut I want. Good luck at the groomer we'll have to add some new pictures next week. Hope your mom feels better soon. My mom is always making funny noises and her knees sound like popcorn. Bye for now. p.s. I am not as good at coming when called as I used to be. Mom says we have to get back to our training as we have been a little lazy.

HI Shelby....This is Guinness's & Murphy's Mom. They are off chasing each other right now....big time zoomies, so they aren't online. I think your Mom must be totally awesome to hide treats all over the house and let you stay out of the crate while she got her MRI. I'm kind of a big baby about those things, so I'm not sure I'd be hiding the treats before going for that test (especially if my shoulder was hurting). I'm so glad you had fun at the dog park! Murph & Guinness aren't too crazy about getting hosed down...maybe you could talk to them. Guinness got his Summer hair cut last week....I'll try to get a picture to post. Since Murphy is "my baby" I haven't had enough courage to get his hair cut yet. Anyway, it's good to hear from you, and tell your Mom we really hope she's feeling better.
