Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So the last few days, I've been pressing the snooze button on days when I have to leave early-I guess I learned my lesson today...Myla sleeps in my bed after DH lets her out before he leaves in the morning, Chloe likes to go to her crate for some extra zz's until I get up. The alarm went off and I place it far away so I have to get up to shut it off or snooze it. Well, I was pretty out of it today and decided I would just crawl towards the end of the bed on my knees and snooze it. Well...in the process I couldn't reach it so I kept stretching further until finally I fell off the bed! We recently bought new mattresses and they are pretty high so as I started to fall, I reached out for a decorator table I have under the window, all my weight fell onto the table and the lamp, a vase and 2 picture frames came crashing down and there is also a piece of glass on top of the round table with a cloth under it.(the table brole-yes I need a diet) Anyhoo-So there's a pile of rubble practically on me and broken glass and lots of pain and tears! I mean what a way to wake up! (at least it's not Monday) Myla was scared out of her skin! She was as close to the closed door wanting to run! I layed there a good 10 minutes and she kept crawling toward me until about an inch from me and she would run away. Normally she would run up to me and lick my tears no matter what! She wouldn't come near me! So the whole right side of my body hurts and if it gets worse, I may have to call the doc after my class. Oh, when I finally got up to clean it up and opened the door she went running to Chloe's crate and she was also not concerned because she was still laying down instead of anxiously waiting to get out! Come on, all these stories I hear about dogs saving their owners lives and staying at their sides? Just another area where my doodles are not normal! I called the DH at work to tell him where I put the broken glass and expected him to laugh but he seemed kind of concerned...about Myla-I'm sure he couldn't wait to hang up and tell his coworkers! After it was all cleaned up something hit the window in the same area and both dogs were barking and I noticed Myla's tail was tucked under her!! Poor baby! I look out and it was a bird who was still laying there on the ground. Anyway he was still moving and I have to run to my appointment now. Would your dog save you?? I'm sure I might laugh about it in a few hours, right now my right side of my body hurts too much. The moral of the story...don't push the snooze button!! LOL!!

Im not sure if Cooper would save me or not. When she was really little I did the personality test - at one point you walk away from the dog and fall to the floor and lay there and see what the dog does. Cooper instantly came over to me, gently pawed me and cried a little. Then she sat down next to me waiting for me to get up.
I have no doubt in my mind that my 3 cats would all come and sit on me! One on my legs (Pippin), one on my chest (Merry, the heaviest) and one on my head (Legolas)
Too funny-I can just picture that! Thanks!
Oh Yuck.... I am so sorry that that happen to you.. I like to believe that Jack would save me but I will tell you a few weeks ago, my neighbor who is 6 foot five inch several hundred pound guy was playing around with me, and he picked me up off the ground and I screamed rather loudly.... Jack just looked at me and didn't budge.. What the heck Jack???? It isn't like he is used to me screaming.. I never scream...
I hope you feel better.... No snooze buttons for you, they are evil.....
