The Dog Park Opens, and Lots of Doodle Friends!

So the local (and huge) dog park opened, it's right behind the shelter I volunteer at. Well, today when I was at the shelter I noticed there was a bunch of doodles around! I had DH bring Darwin so he could play with them.

This adorable guy is available for adoption and was enjoying the park when I got there

and these two doodles who's owner actually built the park were there...

And finally, this adorable doodle. He was so cute and his owners were so nice. Guess what? It was Snowee, the doodle that I took a picture of a couple of months ago! I was SO happy! He left the shelter with raw sores from all of his matts, his coat shaved to the skin in certain places and long and stringy in others. Now he is healthy and happy, and his adoptive parents love him! It made me so happy to see a happy ending follow up. 

Darwin had a great day playing with all the cute doodles!

Camilla,  thank you for the big smile this morning!!!!!  Thank you for Snowee's picture and his follow up story. Despite the coming hurricane, YOU made our morning!  I remember your touching photo of this once sad guy -- I'm sure you made a big difference in where he is today. Seeing the pictures (the last one is beautiful) and hearing the success story of Snowee is a great way to start the day. Says a lot for his mom and dad that they were able to see past the sores and to the heart of this cute guy when they decided to adopt.
