They want our puppies...

A local BIG NAME and BIG BUCKS, animal organization that is very selective in the dogs and cats that they will accept has sent a letter to all smaller local rescue groups "OFFERING" to accept our puppies.

This organization will not accept strays, old dogs, or hard vet cases (unless there is a lot of publicity involved). But they are kindly "OFFERING" to accept our puppies.

The rehoming fees from puppies help most smaller rescue groups help older animals and those with expensive vet bills.

This wonderful well known and well though of (by some people) organization with their mega bucks donors and their multi-million dollar budgets have not offered to help us with our harder cases, just "OFFERED TO HELP" us with our puppies.

Why don't they offer to accept our wallets also!

Terra and her babies are adorable. Thanks for helping them.  I can't think of anything nice to say about the "rescue" organization who offered to take your puppies  (like they would be doing you a favor), so I guess I won't say anything. :(

And what an absolutely gorgeous dog Terra is - whatever mix she is!  Of course those puppies would get adopted quickly.  They are totally adorable!

Sadly, I think many rescue organizations are not what they seem and often aren't doing all of the wonderful things they claim to be. It's a good idea to be well educated and informed about who and what you support!

We took in a black dog, possibly a terrier of sorts, and her three puppies, because this famous shelter would not accept them.

Nancy mentions, "I guess some people just want the glory and credit without the work."

I strongly suspect that rather than credit and glory, they want the $$$ that puppies generate.

Can you believe any organization interested in the benefit of the puppies would want anyone to transfer them from a safe and disease free foster home, where they get personal loving one-on-one care and love, to an impersonal shelter.

How selfish! Of course this is AFTER you do all the hard work making the dogs presentable.   YOU can easily place puppies yourself.  I guess some people just want the glory and credit without the work.
