Hi to all my doodle friends - I finally get to tell a story.  You know Roo has Addison's disease.  I love him and am glad that he is just fine, but Roo gets to go all by himself to the vet - lots.  The stories he tells when he gets home!  We love going to the vet, there are always kitties in a cage, wonderful intense smells, treats and of course all the girls know us and love us.

Every time Roo comes home he goes on and on about the new cat Chester, who likes dogs, and how he got weighed and hugged and gave lots of kisses.  Now I am not much of a kisser myself and I have much better manners than Roo and never jump up, but I do love to have my ears scratched and be loved.  Plus Ian comes and takes Roo to the back of the vet's.  We love Ian, he's the best - he is so quiet and friendly.  Then in the back  there even more people to love on him and he gets cheese from a squirt can. (Editor's note: Roo gets a little dab of squirt cheese during his shot, so he never even knows that he gets poked.)  We don't even have cheese in a squirt can, but it sounds wonderful.

Well, finallly...... I got to go to the vet by myself. I didn't get any breakfast which was confusing, but I got to go in the car all by myself.  At the vets  I met Chester and he is so much fun!!!  He likes to play just like a dog.  What a cat!  I got weighed and told I was a good dog and got lots of love and ears scratches.  Then Ian came to get me - just me.... sigh!  Sometimes being Roo's brother is tough, he gets all the attention because he is so pushy and wiggly and well I hate to say it about my own brother, but RUDE!  Mom has told him a thousand million times to sit for pets, but no he just pushes right in.......

Where was I?  Oh yeah, so Ian takes me to the back of the vet's and I get the cheese from a squirt can!!!   And then.... well I don't remember anymore....... until Ian is taking me back to Mom.  I'm awfully sleepy, and Ian lifts me into the car.  Then we are home and .......   I do get dinner and my mouth feels different.  I have gotten a piece of cheese at breakfast and dinner  every day since my wonderful visit to the vets by myself.  My tongue is used to my new mouth and I really can't remember why it felt different for a day or two.

And that's my story.

(Editor's note: Tigger, as you may remember will chew up anything and he broke a small top front tooth right down to the pulp, probably chewing a rock, but really it could have been anything.  He had to have the tooth pulled before it abscessed.  Thanks to his mustache it doesn't affect his charming smile!)

Tigger it sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I hope your tooth missing isn't any trouble for you at all. I imagine you regaled Roo with lots of stories from your vet visit. Cheese from a squirt can, who knew???

Well Tigger I sure am glad you enjoyed your little outing, but I certainly hope that you learned your lesson about chewing on things.  Sure hope that your Brother Roo is doing ok with his Addison's!  You should probably be happy that you get to stay home all the time!  Maybe DM could get a can of that squirt cheese for home and you could get one too when Roo goes to the Vet.  Lucy always gets a special treat when Sophie leaves without her!  Mention that to DM and see if it works!  later Dood.
