Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Tomorrow marks our two year doodleversary. It's hard to believe it's been two years since Quincydoodle came into our lives, the time has gone by so fast. It took me two years of research and showing DH millions of cute puppy pictures to finally get him to agree to getting a dog. I wanted a big dog that was low shedding and that led me to the goldendoodle. From the day he came home we were hooked, so much so that DH keeps talking about getting another one. Quincy has bought so much joy to our lives, he goes everywhere with us and so many of our plans revolve around Quincy. Every day he makes me laugh or at the very least he makes me smile. I took some time off work when he was first home and when I had to go back to work I couldn't imagine leaving Quincy home alone for all day so I talked DH into taking Quincy to work with him, where he quickly became the company mascot. It got to be that if I was off for a few days, the staff were telling me to go back to work because they missed having Quincy with them. It is such a joy to play and cuddle with him and I can rarely pass him by without giving him a hug or a rub of his ears. He is stretched out under my legs as I type this and he is never far away. Quincy is not perfect but he is perfect for me, he had made me a more calm and patient person and in loving him I find that love has grown to encompass all dogs. Quincy has also brought another added benefit, because of him I found DK and a group of friends that share a common interest and are there to support each other through the good and bad. In two years we have gone from a house with dog rules to a house the dog rules and wouldn't have it any other way.
