Ugh.... what a morning...

Hi Doods... it's Shelby!

I haven't posted in a few days, but thought I would today because it might make me feel better hearing from you all. Feel better?!? you say... yes, it's true - I am feeling icky this morning! I am not sure what happened and neither is my human mom, but I woke up early 4:30am and have thrown up several times today. My mom is taking good care of me... she even called work and is working from home so she can watch me... I guess that is one of the nice things about being sick today - Mom is here with me. I am tired and just not feeling myself... but mom is so nice and is petting me softly, offering me ice cubes and right now is letting me sit outside and watch the birds fly by. I usually would chase them, but not today. However, I did muster up enough energy to chase a butterfly.

I don't know what might have caused my tummy upset. This happened once before and mom and I both think i is because I chewed on a dead frog/toad. I don't recall doing that in the last 24 hours, but I have eaten a few yummy things off the ground outside before my mom could get them out of my mouth, so that is likely what is making me sick.

I was supposed to go to a doodle romp tomorrow with other Dixie's Doodles... and now I am not sure we can go. It makes me sad, but I understand know there will be more romps in the future. So right now, we are hanging in there and I am being a good pup... I heard my mom say if I am not better in the morning, I might have to go to the doctor. My doctor is nice and I like her... so that doesn't stress me out! Ok... time to snooze!

Hi Shelby – Hope you didn’t eat a rock like I did. That was no fun except that my mom slept on the floor with me for a 7 days because after surgery I wasn’t allowed to go upstairs (where I usually sleep) for a whole week. Anyway, hope you feel better by tomorrow and are able to go to the doodle romp. Hugs to you. Haley.

Shelby, this happened to me last week. It stunk really bad, and my tummy couldn't handle anything, not even my favorite treat - cheese! I felt better the next day though, and now I'm completely back to normal. I hope you get better like I did! - Darwin
