That is HILARIOUS! I had an awful time getting used to not hitting enter when I got to the end of a line, I just couldn't wrap my head around how the computer did it automatically! My DH, before we were married, bought the very first computer that Apple sold. I can remember him telling my parents that one day, home computers were going to be as common as TV's...they thought he was nuts!
Ha! I remember how awesome I thought it was when we got an "auto-return" typewriter. We were SO fancy! Thanks for the laugh!

LOL - thanks for the great belly laugh! I think I struggled to type 35wpm in the 60's, now I keyboard LOTS faster. Saves a lot of time not having the carriage return!!

Oh, I totally got it and loved it! After just getting my computer back from being rid of a nasty virus, there are days I'd love to go back. In my HS typing class we had half manual and half electric typewriters. Instructor said you will have 1/2 of the year on one and half on the other, so pick a machine. Everyone ran to the electrics, but not me, I took one of the old manuals. I knew that once I went electric I didn't wanna go back, I thought I'll be slow to start anyway so may as well learn on the manual! To this day I Love To Type! :o) Thanks for the laugh and the memories!
Thanks for the much needed laugh. I could barely see the video through my tears. Then I had to show it to my 88 year old mom who used to be a typist at U of M. She thought it was absolutely hysterical Thanks again.
At first I noticed how fast she was typing (vs. texting these days) and then I started laughing. My 9 year old daughter and her friends had the chance to type on some old typewriters recently. They didn't even know how to put the paper in! Too funny.
