Ok, so my boss was not up for me bringing Banjo into the office with me as I'd hoped he would be. I took the first week off and have been with Banjo 24/7 since he arrived. I only work 3, five hour days/week and today it was back to work for me. I carefully prepared a yummy stuffed Kong and put it in the freezer last night. This morning I put on some classical music, placed the Kong and a new toy Banjo hasn't seen yet and an old familiar toy and my baby in the crate and left. I had all I could do to hold back the tears as I drove down the driveway. Luckily I had a very busy morning in the office and had little time to obsess over the puppy....I raced through my work at breakneck speed and tried to stay within 5mph of the speed limit to get home. (My heart pounding all the way!) Home at last! I quietly approach the house to see if I hear whining....nothing....slip the key into the door.....walk into the house....nothing....come around the corner and there is my little angel sitting in his crate as calm and sweet as any little puppy could be! Once again I have to hold back tears (of relief and joy this time!). Today is a beautiful spring like day and we got to play outside - running and rolling in the still brown grass -now puppy is sleeping and Mommy is so happy to know that tomorrow will be just a little bit easier than today!

That's wonderful that you can leave Wilson - 1 is still very young! What a good boy he must be! For many years we had a german shepherd - we were never able to give him free roam when we were gone. He was wonderful in the yard...never left our property which was nice when we didn't want to be outside. We'll look forward to perhaps letting Banjo have free range inside someday.

I would love to have a nanny cam!! Good job Banjo!! Wilson (who is 1 ) gets the run of the house..but after all his treats are gone that I leave..I think he naps!! Tomorrow will be easier day and less anxiety for you! Banjo you're a doll!!

That is so wonderful he did so well. I think often we hate leaving them more than they hate being left! I have a feeling he will do just fine in his crate. :-)
