Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
DH thinks Im crazy spending so much time here on Doodle Kisses. I spend all day at work chatting to people about their dogs and cats, and helping them with issues such as diet, nutrition, training, tough toys, chews etc etc etc the list goes on. Then I come home and read the same stuff online!
Sometimes I also wonder why .... but then I see a cute doodle picture, read a heart-warming story about how DK has helped someone, have a chuckle at the latest doodle escapades... and I know why.
Cooper is my first dog. I did lots of research, but I still didnt know much (compared to now)..... when Cooper was having mucousy poop, it was you on DK who told me about rawhide! Its you DKer who helped me learn how to groom Cooper, how to "reteach" her to come and much more. The least I can do is help someone else with their dog issues. And even though I work in the pet industry, have had lots of training, and have learnt lots, theres still so much to learn...
So I thank all you Doodle Kissers, for helping me, helping Cooper, and helping me help others.
And I thank all you doodles for making me laugh, making me cry, and putting a smile on my face!!!!!

thank you Kaytlin for saying exactly what we all feel here on doodlekisses...I found this site by accident when I started to do some research on doodles...I have learned so much in the 2 and half years that I have been here. we have had dogs for the last almost 40 years, and I thought I knew so much...Well I knew very little, but I certainly have learned so very much on this site from so many knowledgable people. I am truly addicted to tis site, lol,( my husband says it is better then some other addictions, lol)...But he is always asking me about what is being said on the site. If I am not sure about something, or if I just need some reassurance with Oliver and his antics, this is where I come. And of course I love seeing all the great pictures of all the doodles. I think of you guys as friends now and I always will...So thank you again for saying what I really feel...
Love DK and staying "connected" to so many!
I feel the same way. I have learned so much from DK as well!
I agree with all of you. I am amazed that I became an active member of an on line community and I am so very glad that I did!
Sounds like there's a Hopeless Doodle Addict trophy in your future!
Perfectly stated. I feel just as you do!!! Thanks for saying for all of us!
You are so right! No one I know can say they know it all. I went from getting Samantha in a pet store (yeah I know!!) to fostering Mickey to adopting Charli to fostering so many myself and helping other doodles find a foster home to finding their forever homes. All because Adina started a small site to help bring other doodle families together - and now is the biggest doodle site helping so many in so many ways.
I also have met my closest true friends here on DK brought together through the love of our doodles, some we romp with all year round and some I may never meet in person.
Thank you Adina and every single DKer that has ever posted or answered or shared!
Because of all the good info I've learned here on DK and shared with my friends they now come to me for doggy advice, so I guess in a way we are paying it forward. I have a feeling it is this way with a lot of DKers so we are not only helping doodles but lots of other dogs as well. I never feel like I am wasting my time when I am on DK and like you look forward to seeing what is happening everyday.
For me, being on DK has been incredible. I moved the end of 2005 from a small town where I knew lots of people and did lots of things and had my DH's family around to a huge town (for us) where we didn't know anybody and aren't involved in anything. In my work life, as the controller/finance manager, I have worked in very small companies and there isn't much opportunity to getting to know people. Our town is large, but takes much effort to get to belong (and I haven't invested the time and energy to fully immerse). I have been on Facebook for 15 months - only so I can see what is going on with nieces and nephews - and I rarely participate. I have to agree with Nina's comment about learning so much and making friends. I look forward every day to reading what is happening and sharing what is going on in our lives. I am obsessed with DK and proud of it!
We agree! The advice and info in DK is simply the Best!
