 Oh my goiter............my mom is coming over for dinner tonight so I spent about an hour and a half last night prepping and cubing meat, onions, potatoes, and carrots for the pot roast I plan on serving. I wanted to be able to just throw it all into the crockpot this morning with no hassle so everything was neatly stored in disposable Ziploc bags for a no fuss/no muss and easy-peasy morning. In the meantime I realized that we were out of milk and creamer so this morning I sent a message to my daughter asking her to pick some up. The following is our thread which I included for your reading pleasure. You will see where she attempted to call but I couldn't talk as I was in a meeting:

 

 

SO, looks like we will be having creamy pot roast for dinner. I called mom and asked her to pick up some beef broth on her way over "just in case".

FYI, our grocery store is called Publix but you can probably tell I was in a panic trying to type quickly before she added the milk.

Well, the daughter (who is 20) didn't put very much milk in at all, couldn't even tell, and the pot roast was delish.  All that worry over nothing but it WAS pretty darn funny!  Creamy gravy is a Southern thing and if you need a good recipe for sausage gravy over biscuits, just let me know. ☺

Now that is way tooo funny!  My friend had a fifteen year old daughter and Mom called her and said put the ham in at 3:00 and she did, "can" and all!  It blew up in their oven:(   Not so funny!  How did the pot roast turn out?
