When we moved in to our house, it had these two little "garden" areas already blocked off. So I did not have to do anything other than put up boards to prevent the dirt from flying all over. I was going to replace the dirt with the sand, but that has not happened yet. I also need to repair the walls now. That's my summer project.

Monty is such a great coach to his little brother.  I also loved the "running around the yard" video where Auggie is running behind the grasses and shrubs and all you see are the tops of the plants moving.  Very funny!

Yes, it is. We originally built it for Monty to redirect his digging. It worked for most parts. It's still filled with regular dirt. The original idea was to fill it with sand. We'll see if that ever happens. One of the walls already broke during the past winter, so the sandbox is in need of a major refinishing.
