Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I believe that here at DoodleKisses most of us support responsible breeding and rescue.  There have been posts both here and other forums by people not adhering to responsible breeding standards asking questions or advising of a litter.  They then get offended when they are questioned or told that there are those of us that are offended by their actions.

Please let us all take a stand to only to support responsible breeding and rescue!!!!

I think the vast majority of us agree. What do you suggest?
Agreed.
Agree !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what your specifically talking about as I haven't noticed any of the posts. But saying that I agree that breeders shouldn't breed for the sake of breeding and should follow standards or try to acheive a higher standard. If a breeder is on Doodle kisses and posting questions than I think that our community of Doodle lovers owes it to that breeder to answer all the questions they may have with out bias or aggressive or negative behaviour. In hopes that any question they may ask will help them to reach a better understanding of their own practices and what they should be. We have the ability to educate them and not offend them. I think that if those breeders are actually on this site they are possibly the type of breeder/person who does care and is quite possibly just ignorant.I don't think advertising litters is appropriate and there are guidlines on the site for that. One report to Adina is all that is needed.
Just my opinion. I know no breeders on the site.
It isn't really breeders that Andy is referring to, but rather, would-be BYBs who want to breed their untested pet dogs (usually from pet stores) and come here looking for advice on what to charge for the puppies, along with other basic questions that anyone who is thinking of breeding should already know.
Most of us here are not breeders, and I doubt that you or I could "educate" them on the specifics of breeding. The only reasons I can think of for why they are asking these questions here are:
1. In a professional breeders' forum, they would be told exactly how misguided they are.
and 2. They are hoping some of us will buy puppies from them.

Thank you for clarifying my thoughts!
I agree to support RESCUE. In this economy, with the numbers of doodles now in rescue because people can't afford to feed them, I believe any breeding is irresponsible. But I agree to play nice with responsible breeders.
*handing toys back* -- thanks for playing nicely =)
I agree to support rescue too.
Ha,ha,ha........Tank yu mommy....
Do you also believe that having children is irresponsible? There are many children in the world, especially older ones that need homes.

It's important for rescue organizations to have a good relationship with good breeders. Many breeders will send people to a rescue that they work with. Many breeders are in a position to help rescue. Publicly stating that you believe any breeding is irresponsible is not playing nice. It's a passive/aggressive game.
Some of us think there's room in the world for good breeders and for rescue. I'm certainly one of them. I even have children that are genetically related : ) Please understand that I for one don't think responsible breeding is the problem.
