We have an 8 week old female doodle that we are trying to potty train, We let her outside and after we let her in there are times that she will just pee on the floor five minutes after she just went outside. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve this issue.

Are we giving her too much freedom?

Possibly too much freedom. How much freedom does she have, can you describe?
Also sometimes puppies simply get distracted in the middle of peeing and forget to continue...she may need a couple pees to fully empty. Expect some accidents though...at this age they so easily forget and get distracted.
Boy, do I remember that phase. And to answer your question....If you can't see her every second she is out of her crate, then she has too much freedom. I couldn't take my eyes off Murphy when he was a pup and found myself going outside every 15 mins as he went out after eating, drinking, playing, chewing or napping. So being as he was doing one or the other of those things all day long, we were outside a lot.

There is loads of info in the forum here, just search potty training and I'm sure you'll find loads of ideas.
Its so hard to potty train. Seems like you are about to give up and suddenly they get it! When mine were young I HAD to take them out on a leash consistently at first. Huge praise when they would go. I would always say Go pee a lot and then praise and Good Pee after they went sometimes even a small treat at first. In no time they all would pee on command. Its very funny. You don't have to say pee, you can use whatever word works for you. You'll probably have better luck if you go out with at first.
You need to go outside with her. A puppy doesn't know she's being let out to go potty. You need to see that she's gone and praise her immediately to reinforce going potty outside. That's half of housebreaking.
If she did in fact go potty outside, and then 5 mins later inside, I would check with the vet to be sure she doesn't have a Urinary Infection. Our Sophie had one early on and then again when she was spayed and it is peeing all the time! Also, make sure you are using Nature's Miracle or something similar to clean up the places in the house or you will have big problems and never get her potty trained.
Until she was about 5 months old, Cocoa had to pee twice every time she went out. She would go once, and a couple of minutes later go a second time. Maybe you should go outside with her and give her lots of praise (or a treat) each time she goes pee or poop.

We also kept Cocoa in the kitchen most of the time until she had gone several weeks without an accident. A dog doesn't want to soil her nest, so she won't pee if she is confined to a small area. If we were going out or too occupied to watch her and take her out every hour I would put her in her crate for an hour or two. We slowly expanded her access to the house room by room so she would learn that she couldn't go potty in that room.

Also- buy some Nature's Miracle so that she won't smell her urine and resoil the same spots over and over! Trust me- puppies potty train much faster then kids :)
At only 8 weeks old, I would expect her to pee wherever her little heart desires. But within the next four weeks you can make sure she gets the idea that this business is done outside. While you are home, set an alarm if you have to to take her out every 15-20 minutes. Do not play with her when she goes out. Go with her though and stand like a statue. She will meander around your yard and at some point she will pee. THEN, it's playtime!! making a HUGE deal out of this every time she does it outside. If she has an accident inside, just wipe it up and make no commotion at all about this. Then go outside and repeat this excercise every 15-20 min. Our puppy was sitting by the door to go out after only a few days of this routine. He still had accidents in the house for a few weeks, but he started to get the idea quickly that he should "go" outside.
Some good advice here already :)

I also suggest - dont let her see you clean it up, If she sees it tells her that what she did/where she went is ok. Cooper was still having accidents but as soon as we did this we had no more accidents :) Also, take her to the same spot each time, and say "go potty" or something similar when you get there, and as she pees/poops

If you cant find natures miracle, try using vinegar and water to remove the scent of her pee.

It will take a while, some pups take longer than others, but they key is to be consistent, take her out frequently, and praise praise praise when she goes outside.
Remember she is young and learning - she will get it. I ended up keeping a daily log as well as to keep track as to when she would poop and pee -& when i would feed her -that helped me to know her potty patterns and to help make sure she was outside to potty. Setting her up for success is the key. Also bought the poochie bells and she loved that - sometimes I thought she would never get it and darn if she didn't ring the bells to go out. Just keep giving lots of praise when she goes outside and you may spend a lot of time going in and out at first - but it will pay off. They will be some accidents but they are very smart babies! Oh yes when you catch her peeing in the house immediately pick her up in the middle of the pee and take her outside immediately. They will stop peeing mid stream.
