Looks like we lost the weight up-date discussion some how.
I enjoyed checking into it every now and then, so I decided to make a vol. 2.
Charlie was 13.7lb @ 10 1/2 wks, 19.7lb @ 15wks, 22.3 lb @ 16 wks, 30lb @ 23 wks, and now 35lb @ 27 wks.
Our Zea is a week shy of 9 months and weighs 64 lbs. Her brother, from a previous litter (my dad's doodle) is 72 lbs and he is 15.5 months. I think we got BIG ones!
LADY PERI'S GROWTH
Weight at 9 weeks: 7.03 pounds
Weight at 10 weeks: 7.80 pounds
Weight at 12 weeks: 9.44 pounds
Weight at 14 weeks: about 12 pounds
Weight at 16 weeks: 13.41 pounds
Weight at 20 weeks: 15 pounds
Weight at 23 weeks: 16 pounds
Weight at 6 months: 16.8 pounds
Weight at 7 months: 20 pounds
Weight at 10 months: 24 pounds - she is 15 1/2 inches tall at withers.
Weight discussion revisted. Today Jax got nutuered, he is 5 months old and weighs 28 pounds as of today. Any guesses to what this guy is going to weigh. Our trainer at petco says 75 pounds to 80 pounds and I say no way! Hes big but I don't think hes going to get that big. His parents were 55 and 60 pounds.
On a differant topic he has been to 5 puppy classes and he is doing really well. He is actually really starting to get it, even the down stay. While in class you wouldn't beleive the attention he gets from shoppers in the store asking what kind of dog he is. I bet our breeder is getting lots of calls.
Leo
8 wks 10.2
10 wks 13.4
11 wks 16.2
12 wks 18
13 wks 20.6 and 16 inches tall
14 wks 22.8
15 wks 23.6; 17 inches tall
16 wks 26.2 pounds!
23 wjs 41 lbs.
27 wks 44.6 lbs. and 20 inches tall - maybe...he won't stand still long enough to get his height! The best I can do is find a spot on my let that he comes to and try to measure that way!
Leo, now eight months (35 wks), weighs 53 lbs and stands about 21 inches tall
According to this Ted (12 weeks, 19lb and just shy of 15") could be between 50-77lb and 23.5-29" He's going to be a bit of a lanky thing like his mum -possibly.
This trying to guess how big they will be is totally intriguing and I am so curious - never mind trying to work out how much food he should have based on his expected adult weight!!
It would be really, really nice if people would include the type of doodle they have, including whether mini, medium or standard, and generational specs, e.g., F1b Standard Labradoodle. All these numbers being posted mean nothing to me to help determine if my Lucy is on track, or helpful in knowing how her weight/height might compare to other f1b standard labradoodles at the same age.
I think by all the different weights I'm reading here it's very hard to judge how big a doodle is going to get.My Daisy is standard poodle and lab( F1 right?) so I thought she would get 45-55 Lbs. She was 12 Lbs. at 14 wks. when we got her and now at 31 wks. is only 33 lbs. and 19 inches at the withers. The vet said at this age he did't think she would get much bigger. I guess at least she won't outgrow her crate again!
She will probably fill out to 40ish pounds though. She is still young. Peri is almost a year and is a mini, but she is even still putting on some weight/filling out.
For instance, at Daisy's age Peri was 20 pounds, now she is 25. But she is a mini (15 1/2 - 16" at withers). I know I am not comparing apples to apples, but minis tend to slow down faster than the standards, so you do have growing left!
I agree with Allyson, though I would put her closer to 45-50 lbs. Our standard F1 Golden Doodle was around 50 lbs at 7 months and now at 11 months she is just shy of 70 lbs. I am told that she will still put a little more weight and should grow until she is about 18 months old. I am expecting 75lbs. She is also considerably bigger at the withers. She is about 25 1/2 inches. Do you have a mini like Allyson's Peri? She sounds more like a large mini.
Sorry I took so long to respond, thankyou Allyson and Betsy for your input. Daisy is now 9 months and is 36 lbs and 19 1/2" , so she is not growing very fast, but she is growing. She is supposed to be lab and standard poodle so I don't know why she doesn't seem to be getting as big as others I've heard about. She is a great dog though, one of the smartest I've ever had!
