Having just rescued the most amazing young doodle with thanks for Doodle Rescue.
I would like to share this poem with everyone as I still cannot understand why anyone
would give up this most amazing, sweet young man.

" Oh shame on the mother's of mortals, who did not stop to teach.

The sorrow that lies in dear dumb eyes, the sorrow that has no speech.
For the same force who formed the camel, that fashioned man and king.
And the God of the whole gave a spark of a soul to each furred and
feathered thing"

Somehow the ends of the lines of poetry are cut off. Could you repost?
I see it fine. strange.
Thank you. I guess some of the poem did not show up.
Hope this comes through okay :)

Sorry, same problem.
How about now...Ha ha..This is driving me crazy...
Yes, now I can read it and it is lovely. Congratulations o your new Johnny.

I can see it, and I love it. It is so appropriate for anyone who loves or cares for an animal.

Frances's new Johnny is the former Figaro, and I am so glad that he is doing well in his new home. Clearly, he has a very caring and sensitive new mom.

Good luck with your sweet boy, how lucky you both are to have found each other. What a beautiful poem.
This is truly beautiful.  I am a believer that animals have all been blessed with a very beautiful and unique "soul".  For me this is part of the wonder of them.
I love the poem, and I'm so glad that you and your doodle found each other...
This says it all!

Frances...I just loved reading this poem.  These four lines say it all...And from what I have read...your new doodle is named Johnny!  That was my fathers name and now my son's name!  Our doodles name is Thomas and it is so nice to hear of another male doodle with a "human" name like our "Thomas" and your "Johnny" and Karen's "Jack" which by the way is my husbands name.  Anyway...thanks for sharing this poem and I wish you so much happiness with the pets.
