Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I am suffering from serious doodle withdrawal. I drove my parents down here to Florida and am spending a few days before heading back. I think there is a black doodle down the street, but I have had a chance to speak to the owners. I just want to pet him. Is that stalking? I really miss my boys at home. To make matters worse I can't change my plane reservation since flights into Indianapolis are being cancelled. I'm hoping my flight out Thursday goes through. Does anyone know of any doodles living in the Rotunda/Englewood area? I think I saw one on my way back from the beach today.

Haha I would definitely be in doodle withdrawal also. I think it would be ok to ask to pet the doodle down the street! I know I would.
I'm so lucky that I work at Petsmart. Whenever there's a dog I want to pet, I just go ask the owner if they need help finding anything, and then I ask to pet their dog.
I know exactly how you feel. Last year I went away for a whole MONTH!!!!! And I was in Canada for part of it - I was so over joyed when I spotted a doodle. I rushed over to the couple's house where I could see 2 doodle faces. They were happy to let me say hello. I think they understood my pain! lol =)
This makes me laugh because I've so been there. We went to New York in May and I shamelessly stalked a doodle around Central Park until I could casually bump into the owner and strike up a conversation.....lol. My boyfriend was slightly embarrassed, but jumped right in on the petting session. We have these huge sweet snuggle bugs at home....how can we not go through withdrawal?
I'm going through major doodle withdrawal and it is only going to get worse. I had a long business trip with some pleasure mixed in that was going to take me away from last Thursday until Friday morning (red eye home from CA). So I had very good friends who live about 2 hours from me take Lola on Sunday, January 1st because they were visiting in the city. I was suppose to pick her up on Friday when I returned though I had to leave again on Tuesday for a shorter trip. I found out yesterday that I now need to leave earlier on Sunday so I've decided it makes sense to keep Lola at the friends, then uprooting her twice so quickly. It will end up being almost 20 days until I see her - crazy. Miss her so much but know she is in great hands (family, another dog, back yard, etc.)
Any ideas on a gift to get someone who watches your baby for that long?
