So when the doctors told my husband and I that I need to be very careful of germs due to Chemo (leukemia), My wonderful DH started cleaning my house like a maniac. Then he took a look at Achilles and said, "He is like a walking mop,(lovingly) maybe we should get him groomed" So he makes the appointment. He goes to pick Achilles up, doesn't even look like the same dog! There is no chance a germ could hide on him now! He is actually acting different. Do you think he will ever forgive me for this do? And what is up with the tail? He even looks mad in the second picture.
I know I shouldn't but this just makes me laugh. What a cutie pie! The tail - hmmmm, not sure how that came about but the good news is that it will grow back and I say to your husband - what a great guy to be cleaning and worried about the germs.
He is adorable... fear not... So lovely.. and more importantly he is your baby waiting for you when you get home from treatment. Praying for a fast recovery for you.
Oh, Anna! Your Achilles still looks very adorable. And, we all seem to know that he loves you soooo much! Doodles are our healing and just by staying at your side when you need him most means more than the furry outside package. Your husband is a gem, too!!!!
Aww, he is still cute, and it will grow back, and he is there for you so thats all that really counts...Just keep him away from the mirror, and in 2 weeks he will be fine, lol....Hope you are feeling ok, just stay strong, and get well...
Achilles is still adorable in my book. The tail gives him his own special look...along with Buddy. Fudge's groomer did this just a little to Fudge's tail for the first time. Maybe it is a brand new trend and we have some cutting edge doodles..ha!
Oh dear Anna, I sooooooooo feel your pain. I recently posted a discussion regarding what my regular groomer did to my 95lb girl. She hacked her beautiful coat so bad, I thought that a blind person, with garden shears had done the job. My husband and I were truly embarrassed to be seen with her as she looked so awful. The expression on her face looked identical to your Achilles. I am they know they look ridiculous...Anyway, I had so many DK members giving me warm feedback and someone said the different between a good haircut and a bad haircut is 2 weeks, which kinda made me feel somewhat better. Mind you, it has been nearly two weeks and she is starting to resemble her former self but it will take weeks to get her glorious coat back. Thankfully, they did not touch her tail but nonetheless, being as she is so large, and being as they all have these little stick legs, I cannot wait for the time to pass. Hang in there...we are all here for you :)
Wow...that tail is really unusual! Happily the hair grows back. And I know that Achilles will forgive his mama...he loves her as much as she loves him! Anna - thinking of you and praying for your full and speedy recovery. Hugs!
