Clearly I am clueless because I haven't groomed Toby myself yet, but I really think I can do it, thanks to the encouragement I am getting here! Does this set have what I would need?

Hi Sandy...
I have learned so much from our friends at DK...and would love to share what I've learned with you...
My understanding is that a cordless clipper would not be the way to go...since it wouldn't be as powerful as one that plugs in.
The clipper that was recommended to me by most is the Andes 2 speed Ultra Edge.
The blades and combs in stainless were said to be the better option.
I found it for a great price at Cherrybrook...with a really good special add on.
As far as shears go...there are many good ones...but what was recommended to me were the Ed Geib...and I found them for a good price at Petedge...
You can find the other items that you need there too.
You will need some good shears...one straight and one curved... a pair of blending shears...and a small blunt edge pair for smaller detail work...such as around the eyes.
Some people also get a very small clipper for the feet...and use that...along with scissors...to do the paw pads. I think that is a matter of preference.
I hope this is helpful...and the best of luck to you...
I am in Canada, so I'm pretty sure buying from the U.S. sites you listed wouldn't be cost effective for me, but thank you for all the detailed information you provided. I will look around on-line and see what I can find.
Thank you for the compliment Nancie...(smile)
You have been an amazing teacher for me...and I have learned so much from you and others from the Grooming Group!
It really did feel good to be able to help out someone who had questions...and know what I was talking about...thanks to all of you!
Of course...I'm still learning...so...I'll be looking to you and the other "experts" for advice!
I guess that means...I'm a Groomer In Training... Lol...
