We cannot agree on a name.  There are 4 opinions & we all have our own ideas.

I want Louie, Dexter, Leo or Murphy.

My husband wants Fozzie, Chewie or Wookie.

My 3 & 5 year olds want George or Murphy.

Other names we have discussed are Desmond, Charlie, Murray, Otto.

I ultimately have final say since I am going to be the main caretaker as a stay at home mom - but I want us all to be happy.

Help!  Please. :)

He kinda looks like a Rudy to me and he is totally adorable, on the names you've already thought of I like Fozzie.
Personally, I really like Louie - for some reason he just looks like a Louie to me.  Don't get me wrong I love all the other names but I have to say I don't think I have seen any other Louie's here on DK or known any other dog named Louie.  My second choice would be Leo for the same reasons - it would be my first pick but I knew a guy in high school named Leo and he always kinda smelled.  LOL The things you associate with a name :-)
I vote for Murphy - since it sounds like this name has 2 out 3 votes in your house. He is super cute! Love that face.
He is a cutie!  We had the same problem, everyone had their own favorite and our puppy went without a name for 3 days.  Finally DH said his name is Shep and that is that.  We didn't all like it but we love the puppy and that is what matters.  Good luck!
You might try having him a few days and see what fits.  I also think (and this is totally my opinion) that you should not get too "far out" and stick to a name that is easy to remember.  We thought we were so clever with our first dood, naming her Tura Lura since we have an Irish last name.  BUT it is such a hassle.  I took her to the nursing home and nobody understands her name, just too weird.  Trainers and friends can't remember her name. Geez. Our second dood ended up Dolly for just that reason.   (we called her Trudy for a day, but that didn't feel right).  Good luck!  He is a cutie.

No name is adorable.

We had about the same number of choices and no one could agree. We narrowed down the list on the way home from picking Izzy up. But when we got home we still couldn't agree. I made a list and every one had to mark their 3 top choices. The one with the most marks won soooo.....that's how we named Miz Izzy (short for Izabella but I only call er that when she's bad:)) Bottom line, whatever you choose will be the perfect name for him. After awhile you'll wonder why it was so hard to choose:)

BTW....2 syllable names seem to work better with animals. I know there is something about why on the internet I just can't remember!!!

I love the Star Wars references, so I really like your husband's choices. However, your pup looks like a Louie to me. Murphy and Dexter seem to be popular names right now, so I would personally choose a name that would most likely not be shared by other dogs in the same obedience class or puppy play group. Someone else suggested two names which is what I've done with Barley Barker and my family's other goldendoodle Daisy Mae. It makes for a variety of fun nicknames. Could you combine two of them, such as Louie George or Louie Chewie?
I like Fozzie or Wookie, but it looks like your family (except for your husband) all like Murphy. Murphy is a great name too.
You could throw all the names into a hat and draw the winner. We tried this with a rabbit, but when we drew the name out of the hat, it was Stew (as in Rabbit Stew). This was my husband's choice and we all vetoed it and went with the original name of Brownie. (yes, the bunny was brown)
Think through the names and think up an appropriate nickname for it and see wich nickname you like best.

I call my Bella.... Bella Bear cause she looks like a giant stuffed animal.

Maybe that would help narrow it down.
I think Murphy because the majority agrees on it. :-)
I like names that are different - Murphy is cute but how many Murphys already are out there.  I always name my pets after old movie stars (Crosbey (Bing), Humphrey (kitty) Bogart (lab) = Humphrey Bogart, now I have Rooney (Mickey).  I once had a dog named Bunker (I am into golf), a lab named Trooper (love a man in uniform).  So think about what you love and then go from there.
