Please Help me not to overreact..Need Advice. Jack Fell

[Jennifer and Jack]

Jack just fell off my bed, remember he is only 12 pounds, He was trying to get a toy up on the bed like he always does, he fell and hit his leg on my oxygen  tank or his hip, He scream yelped and then cried for a few minutes. Now he won't walk on it. This is the same leg he got attacked on and it was pulled out of socket. He stopped crying, but now he won't walk on it.

 

Do I take him to the ER Vet, you know I am so fast to do that. I have to go to a very important doctors appointment tomorrow 2 and half hours away. So if he needs to go, I want to go now, plus if he is in pain I want them to fix him.

 

What do I do? How do I know

I don't know if I can give any correct advice on this, but I can tell you what I know. When I worked at a grooming shop, a miniature poodle jumped out of the owner's truck and broke it's leg. Usually the owner lifted it down but it got excited and jumped down on it's own. Maybe it was a freak accident, or maybe they are just really fragile.

I'm not trying to make you panic of course. I'm just saying that yes, tiny dogs are a little more delicate. I would say, if he's not putting any weight on it still, you might want to take him in, he might be in pain.

We are going he is not walking on it and he is panting.. SH@@@@@@%^&*... My poor baby I knew I should have gotten stairs for the bed. F******

(((((Hugs)))))  He's going to be okay.  This too shall pass, and it is not your fault.  #%$^ happens.  Keep your eyes on those silver linings (it could be worse...). 

I'll be checking in here lots to see how he is doing.

Oh Jennifer! I am so sorry for both of you. So glad you took him in. Everything will be okay I'm sure but it is awful to hear your baby in pain.

Can't sleep...so tuned into doodlekisses...read your post and your last response that was only a minute ago...OMG...so sorry about Jack's fall and also so glad that you trusted your instincts and took him to the ER vet.  Poor guy...but he is in good hands now...these vets will take care of him.  You take care to Jennifer....our thoughts are with you...
