Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Melissa of Porter and I were recently discussing what sign we would hang in our entry if we wanted to instruct our arriving guests how to "behave" in our homes-especially in regard to interacting with our doodles.

Melissa's was:

"If you are female please shower the dog in the armchair with attention

If you are male please ignore the dog until your third visit"

Mine would be:

"Please remove your shoes and keep your hands at your sides"

Okay, the SHOE part is for me but "hands at your sides" is because people waving their hands about seem to trigger some friendly "spaz out and attack" mechanism in Tara.

What would your sign say?

Good one! I could use that for my DH...er...I mean my DOODLE too!! LOL!
:)  :)  :)
LOVE IT haha

"No, you can't have him."

LOL, kind of kidding but people do ask me if they can have him all of the time. Maybe

"Don't pet the dog until he is sitting calmly in front of you."

If I posted that second one poor Tara would NEVER get a pet!!  Oh by the way can I have Darwin???
NO! LOL. :-)

The dog is all bark and NO bite!

Sounds like little Rua is a one doodle welcoming committee!!
Ollie needs the same sign.
When folks ask me if Quincy is friendly, my response is " He only bites people wearing" and then I list off what they are wearing. Gets them every time. So far everyone thinks it's funny.

"Please stand still until the dog brings you a welcome gift"  which is usually my shoe, slipper, car keys, scarf, gloves or anything else he can find quickly enough to greet our guests with.  He grumbles with one of these items in his mouth as a nice welcome!!

Awww..that is SO sweet!! I hope you're careful not to leave undergarments laying around!! LOL!!
