Tomorrow Ginger is going to be spayed.  I am a little nervous, because I don't know what to expect when I pick her up on Thursday afternoon.  Wish us luck.  I hope Ginger doesn't have too much of a shaved paw!!!

Let us know how she is when you get her home! I was so worried when my cats got spayed 7 years ago as my childhood cat got really sick from an infection.I made the vet call me to let me know they were fine as soon as they woke! Thankfully both Cooper and my kitten came fixed so I didnt have to worry.

Color me stupid, but why is she getting her paw shaved? BTW... we had our Bella spayed in Dec. and the vet called right before she did the proceedure, and right after it was done and about an hour after Bella woke up to tell me how she was. I picked her up about 3 hours later to recover her at home with me. She slept peacefully with a few potty breaks for the next 24 hours. Even had to go pick her up off the lawn during one potty break as she just wanted to lay right down in the yard and go back to sleep.

Good luck tomorrow. This is so routine to vets that they can do it so quickly and with minimal risks,

KoKo was spayed a few months back, slept pretty much over the next 12 hours after she came home.  After that she was her normal self and gave me fits trying to keep her quiet.  The fur on her shaved leg is growing in nicely.  Stop worrying, she will be fine.  KoKo sends her love and best wishes...

Ginger will do great!  We get so worried about our pets, don't we?  Through the years all of my dogs have been spayed/neutered and they are did amazingly well.  Mommy (me) was a wreck but I didn't need to worry.  

Ginger is in good hands!
