Locks of Love

Hi everybody:) I have been thinking about this for a little while now and I was wondering what I should do. I am thinking about donating my hair, at least 10 inches of it to Locks of Love. It is pretty long, so I won't be taking too much off. I have always had my hair long though. What do you think I should do? Thanks for your imput.

 It started with a challenge from his three adoring God Daughters.    His old boss  harassed him along with others.  Called him Pony Locks (all that hair was tied in a ponytail).  His God Daugters fell to the pressures of more modern hairstyles but my husband kept to his word. Three years ago he donated 18 inches of hair!~ 

How wonderful of you to think of those children.  There is a saying among the sick, " Look Good, Feel Better".  Not only will someone have your gorgeous hair you will be helping them to feel better.   If I find a picture of my husband with his pony locks, I'll post.

How did you know my hair was gorgeous? JK ;) Wow that is a lot of hair.:) I hope I can end up doing that. My mom doesn't think I should. She thinks I will regret it. I don't know how to convince her. I would like to see that picture though haha:)

I donated 14" this December, except I donated it to "Pantene Beautiful Lengths" which is very similar to Locks of Love. I do miss my hair sometimes but I don't regret it. :-) I say go for it!

I've donated 3 times. Twice to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, once to L. O. L. 12 inches, 10 inches and 10 inches.

 

P. B. L. is a little less stringent regarding requirements, they require less length, and as long as its healthy it can be treated minimally.They make wigs for women of all ages.

 

If you want to do 8 instead of 10, you can go with P.B.L. Both are amazing organizations.

I say go for it.  I had 17" cut off when I came back from Mexico 16 years and wish I had known about locks of love.

It is a very unselfish thing for you to do and you will be cooler without all that extra hair, just like our Doodles. :-)
