Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have the three most amazing Golden Doodles and I love them.  Stella is 4 years old and Stanely and Slyder are both about 18 months old.  Big dogs, at about 65, 80 and 100lbs.  Wonderful all, and I don't have a complaint about them except....  the hair (or fur, not sure what's the proper description).  Stella is a non shedder, Slyder sheds a bit and Stanley is a full blown fur ball!  Now, I vacumn at least once, usually twice per day and we're used to dog hair in our food, our bed, etc.... but is there any way to get it out of freshly washed clothing?  It's seems to imbed intself into the fabric or something.  We look like a family of... well, I'm not sure.  I can be embarrassing when at a business meeting and I look down at the globs of fluffy doodle hair.  Any advice out there for us?  Thanks!

They are beautiful!
Retire early and just wear sweats all the time...Other than that...sorry about the shedding doodle. They are GORGEOUS though I love their beards...I am sure you have the drippy water saga going on too...but I guess that is not a problem to you. I am about to trim my kids down to 1 inch because of the soggy chins...but at least, neither of them shed...so sorry for your problem..:(
Your doodles are so precious. I love them.. No advice on the hair though.. Sorry
I just bought a hair remover thingy from Bed Bath and Beyond.  It looks like a sponge in the shape of a bone.  It works wonders and it was only a couple bucks.
No advice other than to brush your shedder extremely regularly, or perhaps even shave her down so there is less hair overall? Your dogs are absolutely adorable.
Have you tried brushing your shedder with the furminator thingy? I don't have a shedder, so I don't have one...but my inlaws do and they swear by it!
Aside from the sticky rollers, I don't have a suggestion.  But I do echo others and recommend you try to brush Stanley at least once a day. Should be pretty easy since he doesn't matt.

When you find the answer, let me know. Jackdoodle is very similar in appearance to Stanley, and he sheds like it's going out of style. All of my fleece clothing (and I live in fleece three-quarters of the year) is covered in hair, and it does embed itself into the fabric like it's woven in. Clothing and blankets come out of the laundry covered with hair.

It's a look. Too bad it hasn't caught on with more of the population.

I like this. Almost like golden threads woven into your clothes... LOL
As long as you don't have PETA after you thinking you're wearing a fur coat.

Just have to tell you that the Doodles are Adorable!!

As far as than combing and brushing daily...and maybe using a roller brush on your clothing...before you leave the house...and before you take it off (smile)..that way...there will be less...if not "no" fur on the clothing when it goes in the wash.

A really good washer and mainly the  dryer helps a lot...(smile)

The  Systems that are front loaders.  They have "amazing power pick up"!

There is a cycle on those that is called "freshen up" which is Wonderful...and also a cycle called "steam fresh"...which might help with your challange.  I do know that  I don't have a problem with liint...hair...etc. since I bought mine!    Just a thought...and you might want to look into it.

You can also keep a roller brush handy in your purse...(they have them in a pocket size too!  Very handy!!

I don't have a shedder...but my daughter has a cat...and she uses a type of roller to get the hair off of sofas..beds..etc.

That might be helpful also.

You might want to consider having the Doodle that sheds cut shorter...

That might be Very helpful as far as the shedding challange.

Cherie...I just love the picture of your Beautiful Doodles...
