And the verdict on Toby's paw is....

....a viral pappiloma.  Basically a wart, says the vet.  The pathologist confirmed it.  So glad it wasn't anything more serious.  However, the paw was a little infected, so he just changed the bandage today, and I have to go back tomorrow and have it changed again.  The vet told me again what a doll Toby is, and what a great personality he has.  Of course he does - he's a doodle!  Apparently puppies usually get these things, not adult dogs, but at least we know what it was, and it's gone now.  It does look like the cone could be on for another full week, though.  I'm not sure my legs can take it.......
