Doodle Lovers Cruise******UPDATE

4 OR 5 NIGHT CRUISE - OCTOBER OF 2012  that gives you 14 months to save up.  Who has interest?  Please let us know by the end of the day on 8/16?!  We are serious about getting this thing booked.

In Laurie's blog about sleeping habits of dogs and children, I was making mention of being on a cruise - Mimi Linna made the comment that she'd love to cruise with me - and this got me thinking.  Wouldn't in be a blast to organize a cruise and have everyone who could make it from DK go?  If a spouse could come great but if not there would be some (like me) who would go solo and be willing to share a cabin.  The saddest thing would be of course no doodles on board - but I can just see us with matching DK shirts on doing the conga line through the bar.  Perhaps Flat doodle could come and the Intercourse Tee-shirt.  I know that this is something that not everyone would/could make time for or afford but would anyone have any interest if I started to gather some information?  I'm sure that once we'd get to a certain group size that there might be a group discount.  Anyone have interest?

Jane!  I was just telling DH that I thought it would be cool if we could all meet up somewhere like the 'business world' does for conventions! We're on the same wavelength (haha - didn't even mean that one....that's funny...WAVElength!) your idea sounds great!  (But I've never done a cruise before...)

I know  . . . . . but that isn't gunna happen.  I have the most fabulous dog sitter that the boys love - they stay at here home, I would love to bring them but I not one of those people that won't go because they can't.

It would be cool to have doodles, but I agree that it wouldn't be a deal breaker to not have them. Besides I think unless the cruise had ample grass it would be tough on most dogs to get comfy and know where to go potty, etc.

I would love to do this, but I would have to leave my kids AND my Bexter.  I would be tooo torn up about that I think.  I don't know.  Maybe we could do it again in a couple of years.  That would be great!  I could maybe do it when my kids are older and Bexter is older.  I think we should all demand they allow our doodles!

That sounds VERY interesting to me!  My DH took me on my first cruise for my 50th...I loved it.  I think it would be a blast.  I need budget-friendly cruise, though.  And, since my DH will have no PTO, it would most like just be me, so I'd be willing to share a cabin with you Jane!

Most likely I could never really go, but it sounds like a total blast. :-) I've never been on a cruise.

I would love to go, it sounds like so much fun, good friends, food, wine.. Lot of laughing... I am not sure it is practical for me but you never know...
