So, Ginger is 11 months and going through the dreaded "coat" shed. Matts appear out of nowhere, and I am trying to keep up with them. They are under the chin, on the chest, on her sides. She has a grooming appointment in a couple of weeks, so I have been brushing her daily and combing the matts, or cutting them out, if that works. SO I am working on mats, pulling, separating, combing..and all of a sudden a smell this gosh awful smell. I look down, and I realize that I am NOT working on a matt, but pulling, separating and combing....dingleberries....I am totally grossed out! There are a lot more. I am not sure I can make it through this! This is really nasty. Now she won't let me near her bottom and she does the "tuck the tail and run around the table" dance.
Good thing Ginger has a cute face, because she bottom is not so cute!!!

Chewie does not tuck his tail, but sits firmly on the floor which means I have to clean the floor as well as his bum -_-"
When do "dreaded coat change" usually start and how long do they last? My Chewie is 7 months old now...the breeder told me it starts at 10months?
Eww...Rua had attachments on Sunday night...I stepped on something on the hardwood floor. Right away I knew what it was. I made my DH pick her up while I washed my foot and the floor. I took her into the laundry room and pulled fudge-consistency poo from her behind hair. My DH was TOTALLY grossed out. I have been working on grooming her myself and haven't quite mastered that area.
