We'd love to have Banjo up on our bed but he wants nothing to do with that, preferring the hard wood floor and sometimes  the chair nearby.  Not much space to stretch out in the chair though....so maybe that's why he spends most of the night on the floor.

So, feeling sorry for him....just the sound of those bones hitting the wood floor every time he repositioned himself during the night was enough to make me feel sorry for him.....I went out and found a nice big, plump, soft bed that he could really stretch out on.  I placed it on the floor right next to the chair, in the spot he typically slept on.

Well, it seems that it is the floor he prefers after all......THIS is where he spends most of the night.

In the little triangle of space BETWEEN the chair and his bed!

He does use his bed during the day when I'm showering or tidying up the bedroom.   Silly dog!

lol yes that is a gator~! His name is Al! Parker's daddy went to the University of Florida so it's all about Gators in this house! haha

Parker....Could you be any cuter???

Too funny!!! Why do they do this?? Ours sleep in the bed with us and hog it (sorry) But they do have beds all over that tey DO NOT use!!!

Banjo is just so precious! Seems they do have a preference for hard cold floors and many are given much better options, in our opinions anyway. Rua in a kingsize bed must get lost!! She is so cute and petite. You probably hardly notice her.

My two are 60 pd monsters and Murphy has always slept at our feet at the foot of the bed. Doesn't invade our space unless invited and won't stay long if he does. Bella sleeps wherever Bella wants. She must change positions and places 50 times a night so it's just as good she doesn't sleep in our bed much. She is a much more in your face kinda girl too, so when she wants to be near you she just barges in and plops.

They are ALL so different.

That sounds JUST like Darwin! He'll go straight past a comfortable bed and lay on the hard floor!

We decided before getting Trix that she would not be allowed in our bed or our room.  She still sleeps in her crate at night for the time being, but on the weekend, we sometimes gate her into the hallway and she sleeps right outside our gated bedroom door on the hardwood floor.....right beside her huge fluffy EXPENSIVE bed.  LOL

Sara - We decided before getting Banjo that he would not be allowed on any furniture....little did we know that we would turn into big MUSHES.....we not only allow him up on all the furniture...we beg him to come up and join us! LOL.....I've used cheese (his favorite in the world treat) to try luring him up on to our bed...he'll come up only for a few minutes and then it's back to the floor.      I think these doodles prefer hard surfaces....and will mix it up now and then with a mat, bed or chair.   Funny doodles!

Admittedly, we gave in on the funiture rule too.  We figured if she can't sleep with us - she needs to be able to cuddle at some point!!!  It's hard to say no to their cuteness.

Well, sometimes Luna sleeps here...  (These are DH's legs, not mine!)  At night she sleeps on her bed, she has a big rectangular bed (very plush!) she likes to stretch out on.  Sometimes she sleeps in her crate, but most of the time now she's on her bed.

During the day she has many sleeping spots - by the front door (we have a window beside our door, she can watch the world go by), on the leather couches, on the futon in the computer room, on the carpeted floor in the hallway (her favorite evening spot)...

Aww--the chair is her friend! Sometimes Sadie sleeps very close to my office chair also and I have to be very careful not to roll over her.

This is Bella, all tucked in for the night. She does like to take her naps during the day on our bed. And I like to tuck her in like a little baby. Geez.

Bella.....You look SO cozy!   Beautiful girl!
