I am pretty worried right now. Cooper had a seizure today at Daycare. They called me and asked me if they could take them next door to their Vet and of course I said Yes. When I got there, he looked fine, but after the Vet talked to me and told me how long it lasted, I decided to let her go ahead with some blood work and a few xrays of his abdomen to be sure he didn't ingest anything.
His cbc came back normal, but his liver enzymes were abnormal and billirubin in particular. Then his abdominal xray also showed an irregularity in the liver area. She said this may point to him being born with a "liver shunt". She took more blood and wanted me to bring him home to eat and then bring him back in two hours. Also said she would give me something to cover him over the weekend in case he has more seizures. Poor baby.
I am trying not to worry about a diagnosis before we actually get one, but I am hoping it is not this liver problem. It is a genetic flaw that they can be born with.

I'm very sorry to hear about Cooper. How kind of the daycare employee to stay with you and be so concerned about Cooper. That must have made you feel a little better.
Sending doodle hugs your way with hopes that everything will be ok with Cooper, poor baby :(
Oh, so sorry to hear your Cooper is having a hard time. Both our lab and our boxer had seizures and they were managed easily. Hope that you guys have a peaceful, uneventful weekend.
Keeping you in our thoughts and hoping for good news on Monday.
Keeping a good thought for you and Cooper. It must be very worrysome for you. Don't hesitate to take the valium yourself if you need to. Hoping for good results from the tests.
Oh dear! This is so scary. I'm glad that your daycare people were so proactive about taking him to get checked. I hope the test results come in quickly and that they will clearly expose what can be done for your Cooper! Blessing.
Oh how terrible. You will have answers soon, hang in there!
Fingers and Paws crossed that Cooper's test are positive. I know it's hard to not worry, we love our fur babies so much.
