Calling all experts on doodle coat colors! What is this?

I groomed a friend's F1 goldendoodle today--and she had the most unusual color pattern! The owner said that she was a black pup, then got golden in areas later on and the black on her "saddle" turned gray--The bottoms of her ears are black but the tops are red and the tail is black but the underside is tan. She is just 2 years old and so pretty with big black eyelashes!

Her coat type was different too--all the cream colored areas were soft and fluffy and the black areas were coarser--like two different dogs glued together!

Is there a name for this pattern or is it unique? She was a lovely dog--you can see in the second photo that she was so relaxed, she just laid down on the table for last minute photos.

I don't know about the coloring, but that is one beautiful doodle!

I've seen those colors on yorkshire terriers. Are you sure this is a doodle? Her body looks doodle, but those colors?

I have never heard of a Phantom poodle before but I just looked at the pictures on the internet and they are beautiful!

In other breeds they are called tri-colours. A tri coloured doodle??

Wow...I'm certainly not an expert.  I just had to say this is the strangest coloring I have ever seen on a dog.  Definitely unique!  Her head looks like Maggie's.  I would love to see a picture of her as a puppy or know what her parents were.

Could it be an airedale/golden retriever cross?  Neat looking guy in any case and nice grooming job too!

It is making me wonder if the breeder was reputable and didn't lie about this girl's parents! i am going to see what I can find out!

Well her features and body type is very doodle looking, so it seems she couldn't have gotten it too mixed up with another breed. I was thinking german shepherd too, but would a German shepherd and a poodle look this doodley? Hard to know for sure, but she is adorable and I love your grooming. Very nice job.
