Help! My Mom is an Addict!!

Murphy here,

Mom is mumbling something about points and being an addict and then something about DK.  She seems very excited about this.  

Before when she talked about points she was never happy. She said she just didn't understand how she could not have enough points by now.  (I don't even know what points are!) Then she would mumble something about Fudge and Vern's mom hijacking ALL the points.   (I told her I thought she seemed like a nice person..after all she had Vern and Fudge ).

I don't see how being an addict can be a good thing. Can anyone explain this to me?

Murphy, Jackdoodle here. You are right, being an addict can not be a good thing. I once wrote a blog about it. Here's part of what I said:

" I am not at all happy about this whole Doodle Addiction thing. I mean, this is ridiculous! There is something terribly wrong with you people!  Look what's going on here! Dishes in the sink, laundry basket overflowing, while she sits here indulging this Doodle Addiction!

An addict is not a good thing to be! The German Shepherd down the block said "addict" means "one who is physiologically or psychologically dependent on a habit-forming activity or substance"! In other words, a junkie! My GSD friend said most junkies get put in rehab! But instead, you guys give them a trophy!"

You are soo wise!  I knew it couldn't be a good thing.  It definitely interferes with my frisbee time.

And I'm sure she could cook more often than she does. Not to mention clean.

When my brother comes to visit he fusses at her for drinking too many cokes.  Says she is addicted. And he is mad. (my mom says self righteous).

So not only is she a DK addict, she is a coke addict.

This sounds very bad. I hope she had a will.

Dear Murphy,

Your Mom is spending all this time on DK because she loves YOU.  She's learning lots of great stuff from other Doodle Kissers so she can be the best Mom....think treats and toys.  Sure she's having a little fun along the way....well maybe a LOT of fun, but that's okay cause it's all about Doodles.  Tell your Mom congratulations!
