My dog loves walks! I try to take him on as many as I can. There is a certain house when we talk by that has a fenced in yard with dogs who run at the fence and bark at us. Scares both Schulz and me to death. It is some not happy barking. Well I was pushing my kids in their stroller and also holding Schulz's leash and we walked by this yard hoping the dogs were inside. Didnt know if it would freak out my one year old or not. Well they were outside and came charging at us, and this time instead of cowering away, Schulz got in-between the fence and the stroller and started to bark to scare them away from my son. I mean he looked like he grew about 6 inches just protecting my son. As soon as we passed them he was back to his normal Schulz. Even people came up to us with dogs and he was friendly and nice. Just that one area he went to make sure they did not get my son! It was awesome. ONe of the reasons we got him was hoping he would be a good guard dog for our kids. We really have the perfect dog for our family!

Back when I was in my 40's and we lived in Florida I used to run on a regular basis about 3 miles a day.  I quickly learned that you never get near a dog walking with a baby in a stroller, and never ever go between the dog and the baby.  I used to go off the sidewalk out into the street to go around them.

Good boy, Schulz. It always amazes me how deep of a growl and a bark can come out of our otherwise loving doodles. Oh Scot, and I really like how Schulz looks.
