I just don't get it. How stupid can people be? Frankly, I think they should just remove themselves from the gene pool now. 

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence would know that leaving a dog, any dog, in a car in warm, hot weather is a death sentence for that animal. My heart just breaks for this poor dog who had the miserable misfortune to be with these people.

I just can't believe that with all the TV ads or the print ads that these two young people, who owned a dog, never once heard about what happens. I am sure they have learned a hard lesson but the poor animals should not have had anything to do with it.

But your are right F. nothing gained from their torture so I digress!

So sad......
It gets so hot in a car...we feel hot and can't stand it when we turn off the car and start to feel the heat..I can't imagine a dog being left in a hot car....
I get so upset just thinking that a dog is dying in the car and can't get out...
I know if I ever saw that I would have to break the window to rescue him.

I'm not going to read this. The horror of this kind of tragedy is overwhelming. I am posting to tell you that my daughter discovered that a student invented a way for baby car seats to have a GPS and weighting device. If the child is in the car seat (indicated by weight) and it is stopped for a certain length of time, an alarm will sound at the local police station and the GPS will show them where to find the child. It sounds brilliant to me... for children anyway. Maybe if this becomes the norm for babies someone will figure out how to do it for dogs. I certainly hope so!!!
