Crazy Things My Husband Says About Lani

Hi everyone :)  I had to share this because it's random and funny.  Last night when my husband got home from work, I was showing him pictures I had taken of Lani.  She just got a summer haircut, so she's not as fluffy and you can see her eyes.  Anyhow, my husband looked at one of the pictures and promptly declared "She has man eyes."  I laughed and asked what he meant.  He told me that he meant she has human eyes!  I thought eyes were eyes? lol he's known to say random things but now I can't stop looking at Lani and hearing "She has man eyes" lol.

When we were waiting to find out which pup would be ours, DH and I used to look at pictures of all the puppies - pick out the one with the cutest face, or the fluffiest ears, or the nicest colour... DH commented on one puppy that she had "wise eyes that look into the soul"... that turned out to be our Cooper!

This is soooo cute! I'm always especially happy to hear that all the family members love their dogs.

Yup, the eyes are the windows to the soul, and I guess Lani has "those eyes".  Our Oliver too has very expressive eyes...Doodles are a very special breed.  Not to say all our dogs and other dogs that are not doodles are not special, but after having a variety of dogs thru the last 30 yrs. I am just head over heels in love with our Oliver, and I can't imagine our lives without him...

That is so funny! I actually kind of know what your DH means. When we can see Darwin's eyes really well it's a bit disconcerting.

I can not tell you how many times I have had people tell me that Soph has "people eyes".  She does have very expressive eyes.  i love it.

That's funny. Doodles do have expressive eyes and they for sure know how to use them. Do you all get the looong stare straight in your eyes? Monty does it in the mornings when I'm getting dressed. He stands there and gazes right at my eyes for the longest time without moving. He is waiting to hear what we are up to that day. He won't stop staring until I tell him what we are going to do next.

Lani and my husband have staring contests lol.  I caught them the other night doing that, neither moving just staring at each other.

I think that is really sweet.  Your DH must be more "in tune" than mine.....I'd be lucky if he even would know what color the Doods eyes are.

When Holly was a puppy, her eyes were a bit small and placed close together.  They were not the most beautiful eyes but, the rest of her personality made up for that.  However, now that Holly is an adult, I think that her eyes are absolutely beautiful.  There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for all of Holly's attrbutes, both in looks and personality.
