When it's time to let them go & say goodbye~

This is Kylee, our sweet 13 year old black lab. We had to make that awful decision that it was her time to go and not let her suffer any longer.

We said goodbye to her on Monday 7-9-12, just 1 year and 1 month after losing her long time mate Jake, our 14 yr old Golden Retriever.

It seems my heart is broken...and a chapter of our life has come to an end. To lose them both has been one of the hardest times I have gone thru. If it wasn't for my sweet GD Chloe and our other 2 yr old Golden Bentley, I don't think I would get thru this.

Kylee had a very long, happy life and could not have asked for a better Doggy life.

In the end she was suffering from arthritis, Diabetes, Cushings, went completely blind and mostly deaf. She was struggling with so much, and started urinating in the house due to not finding her way outside in time. We just could not watch her suffer any longer, and we knew she was in pain. Our vet told us that she really did not have any quality of life left, and that she was very tired...

I like to believe that she is happy and healthy now and running with her Jake again!

We miss you Kylee and will always love and remember you!

Im so sorry for your loss, it is so difficult to make decisions when it comes to our pets.  You want them around with you for ever but when they start to suffer and their quality of life is questioned .... then its time.   She will be in your heart for ever !!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Kylee.  This part of pet ownership really sucks:(  She knew she was well loved and that you did your best to take care of her to the end.

I am so sorry.  I am tears typing this as I too lost 2 in 9 months time.

One was 13 and she passed away at home with my parents peacefully  (she had a bad heart and fluid in her lungs towards the end and just layed down with my parents by her side after a episode and took her final breaths)  That was Memorial Day.

Then last August I lost my 8 year old Yorkie in a very tramatic way.
