Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
***I have re-opened this discussion******
Please feel free to comment as again there are blog posts that are blurring the line between advertising and legit blogs.
With all due respect to our member breeders.
As I read Forum Posts and Blogs I am finding more and more discussions started by "breeders" that are really just touting their breeding program or showcasing their newest litters. Many of these people's only contributions to this forum are these postings.
There are places on this forum for this, please use them.
There are many wonderful breeders that are regular contributors, this is not meant to discourage them from continueing to add their valuable insite.
I have closed this discussion - as Clark's thread appropriately follows up on the points raised here.
Thanks for your input.
Please see Clark's discussion about community guidelines:

Absolutely. I think that this discussion is only aimed at those who have made no attempt to be part of our community and appear to be using DK for their own promotional purposes.
Agreed.
I completely agree with minimizing members promotional material on DK except for the places specifically set up for that promotion. We set up the DK Community Guidelines to help minimize this. We hold the posts of members up to the Guidelines rather than our gut feeling of "what are they trying to do?". Posts that don't break the rules are welcome. Of course if we need to modify the rules to help make the site better, we can do that (your suggestions are quite welcome).
Posts that share doodle stuff are welcome here. Even if it's by a person that is excited by their new litter of puppies. If they aren't advertising and aren't linking back to their site, that's a legitimate (and pretty cool) blog post. Even if they are a breeder. Having a new litter of adorable doodles IS exciting and DK is a great place to share that excitement.
Breeders and people that sell stuff are welcome members of DK. They can enjoy DK as much as anyone as long as they follow the guidelines.
So to improve the site, we need to improve the DK Community Guidelines. I just started a thread for members to post their suggestions on guideline improvements.

Let us know what you think!
Thank you for responding. We do know that the Blogs and Posts are "reviewed" for being in compliance with the guidelines. Much of the appeal of DK is that it does have guidelines. I will review the guidelines and post on the appropriate thread. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this.
I am a sucker for puppy photos... really... just keep 'em coming.
Was gone all day and found this discussion--and wanted to say THANKS EVERYONE!!! I appreciate the kind words...I am in a strange position, since I am JUST an employee and make very little money compared to the breeder--some would say I am NUTS to raise pups--but the reward isn't monetary and I have so many new friends as a result. I live in a pretty isolated place, so it helps me to keep in touch with others. Again, thanks for all of your support--it is nice to know that people like my posts and I am very careful not to divulge any info that would be more like an advertisement.
Keep those puppy photos comin' Ginny. Most of us who just love puppies live vicariously through your photo blogs.
Unbearably cute!!!
Oh yes, keep those photos coming ... I'm still missin some little Sugar Donut!
Is this a legitimate use of the blog?
It didn't bother me. I may have overlooked any ad-like portions but I didn't see any.
