A quick internet warning

I know we are all excited about vacations, trips, etc.

 

Many people post on this forum and on other social media sites about being away from their homes for an extended time period.  There are people that look for these postings and try to use any and all information for their benefit.

 

My point is that you are identifying your home as vacant to a potential thief.

 

(I am posting this having just read about someone going on a 2 week vacation and being able to easily identify where they live).

 

So please post about your vacations when you return, we all love to see pictures.

Great point. Also, people should avoid posting personal information like email and phone #s, showing dog tags with information etc.

A great point!! I know someone who posted on facebook that he was going away for a week....his house got robbed because of it by a so called facebook "friend."
